Joe possesses a wide range of photographic experience. He has worked at galleries, daily newspapers, in editing, publishing, and assisting, digitally and in the darkroom. He has freelanced for newspapers, nonprofits, travel companies, the City of New York, and other private clients.

In 2007, he earned his bachelor of journalism (photojournalism) at the University of Texas at Austin, studying under amazing professors and with inspirational peers. Before graduating, he attended the At Home with David Alan Harvey Workshop. In 2008, he attended the Eddie Adams Workshop.

He is currently a freelance photographer based in Brooklyn.
